Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 January 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what VendMizer ("we", "us") collects when you use VendMizer, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website; when you install our products on your own site, you are the controller of your store's visitor and customer data. It is a general template, not legal advice; where local law gives you more, that law prevails.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run this site and serve you:
- Purchases & licenses — order and license details when you buy. Payment is handled by our checkout provider; we never see or store your full card number. If you have a license, your account and purchase history are available in the Account Center.
- Newsletter — your email address and language preference if you subscribe (double opt-in).
- Contact form — the message you send and the address you send it from. We email this to our team and also keep it in a contact inbox on the site so we can respond and keep a record, and we delete it when it is no longer needed.
- Feature requests & voting — if you submit or vote on a feature idea, we store your submission and any name or identifier you choose to show. Ideas and vote counts are displayed publicly, so please do not include personal or confidential information.
- Site & usage data — basic technical data your browser sends, and, if you consent, the analytics data described below.
How we use your data, and our legal bases
We use your data to provide and support the products (to perform our contract with you); to send transactional messages such as receipts and license notices (contract); to send our newsletter (your consent); to keep the site secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interests); and to meet legal and tax obligations (legal obligation). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Analytics, cookies & third-party scripts
This site can load third-party analytics and advertising-measurement tools — such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and the Meta (Facebook) pixel — only when the site operator has enabled them and, where required, after you consent through our cookie banner. When enabled, these third-party services set their own cookies and receive usage data (such as pages viewed and, for conversion measurement, buy-button and download events); that data is governed by their own privacy policies. If they are not enabled, or you decline, those third-party scripts are not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" control on the site.
Cookies & local storage
Aside from any analytics you consent to above, this site stores your theme and language preferences, and your cookie choice, in your browser's local storage. These stay on your device, identify nothing about you, and are not transmitted to us.
Email & the newsletter
Newsletter subscription requires confirmation, and every newsletter includes a working unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. To deliver email and manage subscriptions, we may pass your email address and language preference to our email or CRM provider, acting on our instructions. Transactional email (receipts, license notices) is sent as needed to fulfil our contract with you.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under contract — for example our checkout and payment provider, our email or CRM provider, and our hosting provider — and, when enabled and consented, the analytics providers named above; and where required by law or to protect our rights. Download statistics, where recorded, count only the referring site, never individual visitors or IP addresses.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, order and tax records for the period the law requires), then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR) or in California (CCPA/CPRA), those laws apply to you. We do not sell your personal information; in our default configuration we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising, but where the operator enables an advertising-measurement tool such as the Meta pixel and you opt in, that use may count as "sharing" under California law — you can turn it off at any time using the "Cookie settings" control, which serves as your opt-out. Children
This site and the products are intended for businesses and adults; they are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
